twice in three days, i have been walking out of walmart with recently purchased items and set off that little 'DING! we're sorry, blah blah blah' please don't steal our stuff detector.
i don't have a problem with them using this system, and it's not a huge inconvenience or anything, but i am starting to question just how paranoid they are.
the items which set off the detector?
a 4 dollar robe hook, and a 12 dollar wrench.
????? do they really think people come to walmart giddy with wonder about how many robe hooks they can snatch? yikes.
on a wrench-connected note, thanks dad, for raising me up right, and leading me to feel totally competent (if not joyful) when i walk into the hardware section knowing exactly what i need to be a handy-girl. if only i could learn not to stop the sink up with a spilled pot of spagetti pasta which i mistakenly assumed the garbage disposal was capable of disposing.
