ok, i don't actually know how to write an 'ode,' so forget that part. but i really do love it. not in the sense that i love God or my family or anything, but if there is a special category of 'love' reserved just for the wonders of what medications can do for you, this fits in there.
now before you get all scared that i'm addicted to pain killers, let me tell you that rantitidine is for heartburn. i'd taken it before but quit after a few days (i'm a bad patient) when it didn't seem to be working. but my new doc here decided to try it again, after i told him i'd been eating anywhere from 2-4 tums daily. it didn't seem to matter what i had eaten, when i had eaten, whether i was sitting or laying down, etc. this time i tried being a good patient, and after 2 weeks i realized i'd gone down to eating 1-2 tums a week. yay!
of course, being a bad patient is a hard habit to break, and i ran out of my medication before i got my refill. the three days in between were heartburn hell, like my gastrointenstinal system was making up for lost time. i'd eat 4, 6, 8 tums by the end of the day, and my esophagus would still be begging for more.
but my precious rantitidine is back in my system, and my esophagus is very grateful. the moral to this story: if you have alot of heartburn, ask your doctor about ranitidine. it may not work for you, but it's worth a try.
i was not paid for this endorsement.
