trick or treat? definitely treat.

seb was on call today, and last year we got about three trick or treaters, so when we were invited to a friend's party, i said yes immediately, even though it would put caleb past his bedtime. it wasn't a costume party, and caleb is too young for candy, but i couldn't pass up the chance to see him all dressed up, or to get dressed up myself.

the 'plan' was to go see seb at work, then let caleb catch a car nap in traffic on the way to the party. i even got lost a couple times, and he could have had a nice little one-hour nap to help him deal with the late night out. apparently caleb wasn't fully informed, and fell asleep 5 minutes before we got there. but he did great, had a good time helping me pass out candy to the trick or treaters and got some compliments on his costume as well. we left just in time, he was getting tired but made it through the drive home, a quick sink bath, and getting dressed for bed in some special jammies without any fuss.


he was still in play mode, but passed out fast once the bed-time routine began.
