the little outdoorsman

about a week ago caleb started telling me (signing 'more' which he uses for 'i want' and desperately banging on or pointing to the front door) when he wanted to go out for a walk. as much as i can, i try to indulge him in going when he wants, and staying out as long as he's still enjoying it.
at one point this little guy had a serious grass phobia, but no more! he started being ok standing in it so he could check out his stroller, but the other day on a rare and precious walk with daddy (seb almost never makes it home before caleb's bedtime) he took off crawling when he saw some other babies across the park.

since then he's been crawling off in the green stuff after walkers, dogs, birds, an interesting fallen leaf, and yesterday he crawled over to his stroller, stood up to it, and before i could get to him to stop him, he had climbed up and seated himself right inside the thing. doesn't he look proud?

while i am happy and excited to see this change, i am now going to have to be very vigilant about what's around that he may find on his adventures - he's still testing things out orally, and not everyone in our neighborhood is courteous enough to pick up after themselves - or their pets!
