yesterday, Gail from Aliamanu Intermediate school called me to have me in to interview for a science position. Gail is a secretary, not the principal, and could not answer my questions about part or full time, 7th or 8th grade, biology or general science. but, it is an interview! it's tomorrow at 1215 aloha time, so if you've got a spare moment, a prayer for God's will to be done will be appreciated. i think it's interesting that it's all happened so fast after getting my application put back in the active pile and doing the screening interview (that was just on the 13th, when the lady told me there were no science positions open!) but it makes me a little nerve racked, i liked the idea of subbing to warm up to this full-time-employment-in-a-totally-new-career thing. at this point, i'm still trying to decide if it's better to show up with a really skimpy and pathetic portfolio or to show up with no portfolio at all. and i could totally not get the job.... but at least i know now, spots are opening, there is hope in sight. i'll let you know how it went, and then i'll post it when i find out if i got it or not!
