look what i can do! sorta!

so, we've been working with caleb on his motor skills , and one he had been lagging behind in that, i'll admit, would make me worry a bit when i'd see the younger babies doing it like it was no big thing, is standing. (with help, of course.) caleb would hold his legs straight for maybe a second or two, and then PLOP right onto his tushka.

well, not any more!

he's still not completely steady, and he definitely has to be in a 'standing' mood, but, hey, we're getting somewhere.

he can also hold himself in a good sitting position for much longer, though once he starts reaching around for things, it's all over. i can see him trying to shift his weight and correct his balance, but it's not really quick or coordinated enough just yet.

what he doesn't have in physical ability, though, he makes up for in spirit. he's always looking around and lunging his body towards whatever he sees that he wants to explore. i mean, he literally throws his upper body so hard towards what he wants, there have been a few times he nearly put himself onto the floor when i was carrying him. so, i'm starting to get the feeling that this 'slow start' is God trying to let me rest up for when caleb really gets going, because, as seb put it, he seems cut out to be quite a ' little spitfire.'
