baby's first picnic

a good friend came over with her new baby and treated me and caleb to a picnic at one of the grassy areas in my neighborhood. a good time was had by all, even the birds, who decided to use my friend for target practice. thankfully the babies were spared, although my stroller did take a couple hits. here are our boys, lazing in the shade:
my friend's baby is just over 3 months younger than caleb, but their feet are already the same size, and i don't think it will be long before he catches up, if not surpasses, caleb in length and weight.

we tell caleb this is his new best friend. i hope we are able to live here long enough for them to really get some good time to play together.
