speed demon

i heard caleb whimpering in the back seat on the way to the store and asked him what was the matter.

'mommy, i scared!'

a bit perplexed, i asked him what was scaring him. we were, after all, in the car.

'mommy, you going TOO FAST!'

our speed? a BLISTERING 35 mph. i know. how reckless of me.

i'm guessing he really thought about how fast the scenery was rushing by him for the first time and it made him a bit on edge. i tried to convince him it was safe, but he wasn't buying. so i just told him not to look out the window and read a book instead. worked like a charm!
