part 2a could also be called 'the rocking chair,' it was a christmas present my parents gave to caleb (they knew i'd been thinking of getting him one but wasn't sure he was ready). clearly, he was readier than i thought. check out the video below.
a little explanation - my mom was enthusiastic to say the least in her cheering-on of caleb and all the feats he can perform, so much so that before long he was cheering for himself as well. this was shot dec. 16th, and guess what, he still claps for himself when he is proud of his accomplishments (though now he reserves it for when he feels he really deserves it). you did create a monster, mom!
unfortunately the rocking chair was not exactly suitcase-sized, so it is waiting at my mom's house until we move and they can bring it down for him. he will DEFINITELY be ready for it - more on that coming up soon.
sorry that the video is so shrunken in the frame, i am still getting used to editing video on our mac and have not yet found the best format to export the videos in to work with blogger. if anyone has any technical suggestions, i will gladly take them.

Love that cheering! :) Yesterday, I was like, "Hey Josh, how many teeth do you have in your mouth?" He pointed to his mouth. "You have six teeth?" He looked all proud and started clapping for himself. Such hams we have.
