staffing changes

it seems zebra was not cut out for the job (that whole opposable thumb thing) so caleb wanted to see if elephant could do better. still no opposable thumbs, but those trunks can do some amazing things.  so once again, after watching him struggle to include adequate seating, i helped by expanding the base even more and letting him build the rest.

elephant fit perfectly, and i went into the kitchen to start some dinner.

i came out a couple minutes later to check on caleb and he had apparently decided that he, himself, was the best mammal for the job. this time, no seating adjustments required, though it did prove to be a tight squeeze:

in the video i start laughing because he has been sick the past few days and has been a bit 'zoned' but i loved how he just phased out in the middle of his siren call.

i also love that he did get a little bit upset when he broke it but he no longer gets REALLY upset and falls apart but can calm down and fix it himself. big improvement from how he would react even just a few months ago. good job buddy!
