but here are two clips, the first is of caleb back in early june when we were in the mainland and he was just starting to make progress with the crawling, going after a very appropriate voicemail his daddy left us:
now, he still crawls army style on his tummy, but is very coordinated and very fast.
the second clip is much more recent, maybe from a couple of weeks ago. he is at our back door looking at solomon and signing dog (tapping his leg), which he now does fairly reliably:
since then he has also started to sign 'more' and occasionally it looks like he may even be starting to try 'fish.' it is so neat to feel like i finally have a glimpse into what he's thinking about, and i am so excited to see how our communication develops and what he has to say next.

you make me laugh. All four of you. in a totally good way.
We love you back here in Missouri and enjoy watching the boys (as we used to with the dogs) grown and learn parallelly. (is that a word?)
