eleven months!

caleb turned eleven months old today. that's right. only one more month before the big one year mark. once again, it feels like forever and a day since he was born. here's a brief summary of his accomplishments this month:

-has a total of 8 teeth
-signs 'dog' all the time, in reference to real dogs, stuffed dogs, and pictures or drawings of dogs
-signs 'more' although mostly uses it when he is asking for food
-is starting to sign 'fish'
-pulls up on furniture regularly
-has started walking with assistance
-along with the animal sounds, is doing more and more imitative behavior
-has practiced feeding self with spoon (with very messy results)
-has started dancing to music
-has started playing music to watch mommy dance to it
-has started to actually put his stacking rings on the stacker, rather than just banging them together and eating them
-is almost 16 WHOLE POUNDS!
-has started the habit of taking my hand and pressing it to his face or chest when nursing *melt*

so where is all the photographic evidence of these feats? alas, i have been a bad mommy this month when it came to lugging out the camera, i did actually take a few videos of the signing and a few other adorable acts, but am having a hard time converting them to a format i can actually load onto blogger. so for now, the standard 11 month shot will have to do:you're right, he doesn't look that happy, and he's not. we took this right before he went to bed, because i'd forgotten to take it earlier in the day. we tried to get one smiling, but only got crying instead.
