so, remember i said caleb was granted an 'interview' for a popular tv show, but i didn't think he'd made the cut? wehehell, guess who called yesterday? yep, the casting director just wanted to check in and see... of all things... how much he weighed now. i had to tell her, we hadn't been in to weigh him since she'd last seen him, but we could weigh him this weekend and get back to her.
see, caleb would not be the only baby playing this character, he has to fit in with a group of babies they sort of shuffle through. apparently filming babies is so unpredictable they always want to keep a few on hand to choose whichever one is most conducive to the shot they need when they're ready for it. so caleb has to match the other babies as much as possible, and my guess is, this casting director would prefer it not look as if this character is actually shrinking.
but caleb has not been helping matters lately. he has decided in his ripe old age that there is simply too much to do, too much to see, to be bothered with trivialities like eating, and therefore, growing (much). i can hardly get him to nurse a full 10 minutes these days, and he is strong enough and willful enough now, that i don't have any real control over the matter. he just reaches a point when he'd really rather look around his room, fixate on something, and whine while reaching towards it, than nurse. i've practically stripped his room bare, but it hasn't helped.
even at night, by the minimal light of his alarm clock, the tiny dot of light on his monitor, and his night light (which i would do away with, except i'm afraid i'd start tripping around and drop him or something) he will get bored with eating and start scanning the room.
but at any rate, he's apparently still in the running, and assuming he hasn't actually lost any weight, he may just be a tv star after all.

Thrilled you are FOUND! I have a feeling they just care he weighs less than actually more!
