eight months!

caleb turns 8 months today, it is so hard to think that in 4 short months he will be one year already. one year! everyone tells you to capture every moment, that it will pass you by before you know it, and i believed them, but it is still really hard to wrap my head around.

although maybe that's because he still looks like a 5 month old sometimes.

now, i usually post a picture of caleb with his turtle night light, but in all my packing and planning, i didn't think to bring it (not that i had room for it anyway.) we DO have the baby rattle version, but it's so small any change would not be all that noticable. so i'm hoping in the next day or two to find a twilight turtle in a store somewhere and snap a quick photo next to it.


so instead i will post a picture of caleb doing one of his new favorite activities - taking a bath, now that he realizes how much fun he can have splashing about-


-and a short video clip of him 'sorta' crawling which looks bad because a) it was recorded by my phone camera and b) because like an idiot i was holding it sideways and can't figure out how to rotate the image. so tilt your head a bit and enjoy, or just imagine that my baby is very, very special, and that we will be contacted by charles xavier any day now.
