I should have seen it coming

I should have, but I didn't. I was naive, I was comfortable. I was wrong.

Caleb has discovered girls.

I should have seen it when a few weeks ago he said to me, in a sing-song voice, "girls chase boys! that means you have to chase daddy!"

I should have seen it when he would mention a certain 'Gabby' at school, then just sort of say her name, and giggle.

But I didn't really see it until we were driving to school yesterday, and all of a sudden, he announced to no one in particular that 'everyone has to find a boy.' When I asked him what he was talking about, he explained it to me. Every girl has to find a boy. For what I said. To marry he said. We talked for a moment about marrying being a grown-up thing and not something he really needed to work on at the moment. to which he replied that maybe when he was grown up, like 15, when he could scuba dive, a girl would find him while he was scuba diving in Japan. And then she would marry him.

Yes ladies, believe it or not, he's still available! But not for long!
