normally, i try to keep a pretty firm separation between reality and pretend for caleb. he knows that santa, the easter bunny, fairies, monsters, etc., are all pretend. he also gets a good influx of geeky science knowledge from his science educated parents.
despite this, we're letting him watch the super bowl with us, being careful to switch the channel when some of the less wholesome commercials come on.
but thinking the polar bear soda commercials were pretty harmless we let him watch that one. when asked him, "caleb, do polar bears really drink soda?"
his immediate reply was "no. but maybe it's seal-oda."
ba-dum-bum!
and in case you were wondering, no, we will not be watching the madonna half time show.
