yesterday, just when it was too late to do me any good for the last class of my current course, FedEx delivered the new computer. i was so excited, after i got home from class last night, i stayed up until 5am (just lost track of time) setting it up and souping it up. it's so much fun, all shiny and new.... hope it can go at least a month or so without a huge system failure!
It's not been all fun and games, though. apparently the state of hawaii has declared war on the schnellbacher clan when it comes to cars. first, the taurus's transmission went all screwey, and we had to have it towed and the entire transmission replaced. then the jeep's battery died, and caused us alot of problems fixing it because it was so corroded, we could barely remove the old one, and for a while thought we'd have to have it towed just so some mechanic could remove our dead battery for us. next, a rock hit the windsheild of the taurus (this was like a week ago) and what started as a quarter sized star shaped crack turned into three divergent lines ranging in length from a few inches to a couple of feet. I was going to call to set up to get it replaced today, now that my class is over and i have more spare time to go sit in a shop for a few hours, but yesterday when seb came home, for some reason after he was already pulled in to the garage, the oil pan started leaking, covering the garage floor with oil and totally draining the engine. so now, we have to have the taurus towed to fix that AND it still has a broken windsheild. i'm afraid of what's coming next!
